As a journalist, correspondent, blogger, contributing writer and author for many newspapers, magazines, websites and books, I cover travel, food, lifestyle and parenting.

I am a correspondent at  The Boston Globe, a contributor to OpenTable.com and have been published in CNNTravel.com, The New York Times, The New York Daily News, The New York Post, Boston Magazine, Time Out NY For Kids,  New England Travel & Life, The Boston Herald, Woman’s Day, Sesame Street Parents, Parenting, Travel Agent Magazine, Business Travel News, Restaurant Business, drivethedistrict.com, nearsay.com, travelmuse.com and many more.  As a contributing writer to TravelChannel.com, I was the site’s NYC expert. I have also written essays for Working Mother magazine, salon.com,  Sesame Street Parents and The Boston Globe. I have also blogged for clients including The Otesaga Resort in Cooperstown, New York.

As a travel editor for ten years at Bridal Guide, a national glossy bridal magazine in NYC, I assigned, wrote and edited hundreds of articles for one of the largest travel sections in publishing that revolved around honeymoons and destination weddings. I traveled to amazing upscale, five-star resorts and destinations around the globe. I still write about honeymoons and destination weddings for several bridal magazines.

I am also a bestselling author. I have written several travel guidebooks, including New York City with Kids, New York City Made Easy, New York City with Kids, as well as a popular children’s baseball novel, Catcher in the Sky. And, I am a co-author of several Murder, She Wrote novels. I also collaborated on How to Organize Just About Everything with Peter Walsh; I wrote 80 mini-chapters.

I got my start in journalism as in investigative reporter intern in Washington, DC with muckraker/syndicated columnist Jack Anderson. It was an awesome, life-changing experience.
